What belongs on a book's copyright page?
At minimum: the title, a copyright line in the form ‘Copyright © year, author’, and an all-rights-reserved paragraph. Fiction adds the standard ‘this is a work of fiction… any resemblance to actual persons… is coincidental’ disclaimer. Optional lines include the publisher or imprint, the ISBN for that edition and format, an edition statement such as ‘First edition’, and a note about where the print edition is distributed. Non-fiction usually drops the fiction disclaimer and may add a limitation-of-liability line if the book gives advice.
Do I need to register copyright for the page to be valid?
